The Pennsylvania Health Policy Coalition is an alliance of every local public health department in the state. Coalition members work together to advance public health policies that benefit the health of all Pennsylvanians.
Priorities
Coalition members collaboratively identify policy priorities based on communities’ health needs and analyses of the racial and socioeconomic inequities experienced by Pennsylvanians. The Coalition focuses on health problems where it can make a meaningful improvement through its members’ policies and programs.
Coalition Members
Membership includes all county and municipal health departments in Pennsylvania. Local health departments are authorized via the Local Health Administration Law, or Act 315, which passed the Pennsylvania legislature in 1951.
